Day 1: Arusha to Miriakamba Hut

• Morning: Depart early from Arusha and drive to Arusha National Park for registration and briefing by your guides and park rangers. Enjoy a short game drive through the park, spotting wildlife such as giraffes, buffaloes, and various bird species.
• Mid-morning: Begin your trek from Momella Gate (1,500 meters). The trail winds through lush rainforest filled with wildlife, including colobus monkeys and bushbucks.
• Lunch: Picnic lunch en route.
• Afternoon: Continue the hike through picturesque landscapes until you reach Miriakamba Hut (2,514 meters). Enjoy the breathtaking views of the surrounding plains and Mount Kilimanjaro in the distance.
• Evening: Dinner and overnight stay at Miriakamba Hut.

 Miriakamba Hut to Arusha via Saddle Hut

• Early Morning: After an early breakfast, start your ascent towards Saddle Hut (3,570 meters). This portion of the hike offers panoramic views of Meru Crater and Ash Cone.
• Mid-morning: Explore the area near Saddle Hut, taking in views of Little Meru (3,820 meters) for an optional short summit with incredible vistas.
• Lunch: Return to Miriakamba Hut for a meal.
• Afternoon: Descend back to Momella Gate, passing through the vibrant rainforest and spotting more wildlife along the way. Complete your check-out at the park gate.
• Evening: Drive back to Arusha, marking the end of your Mount Meru adventure.
